Brandstack has been secretly toiling away in our foundry of awesomeness, building something really special. We don’t like keeping secrets from you, but this was one of those things where you don’t want to find out your idea was stolen by a hobo who subsequently turned it into a multi-million dollar super monopoly. Don’t get us wrong, we’re all for helping out the homeless, but we don’t like Monopoly… what with the guy with the monocle and “get out of jail free” cards. Anyway…
Allow us to present to you Upstack:
From the name, you might be able to discern that we are taking Brandstack’s service up to another level. Upstack is a place where you can now get custom design work if you’re an agency or an enterprise customer. It’s also a great tool if you just can’t quite find what you’re looking for on Brandstack. Tell us what you are looking for and we’ll quickly send you numerous custom concepts in a personal workspace where you can control the direction of revisions until you get what you want.
Where does this custom design work come from? Well, that’s the beauty of Upstack. Our designers are all at the top of their respective fields. Web design, print, advertisement, illustration and logo design.
Designers of Brandstack, this is our grand opus to you. If you think you have what it takes to offer custom work to clients, we are accepting portfolios for review and still sending out beta invites to select experienced graphic designers. Show us what you are good at. Though Upstack is by invitation only and we are nearing capacity for logo designers, we have a feeling there are quite a few of you cool kids still out there who belong at this party. Please don’t be upset if you do not receive an invite from us. Think of it as a challenge to meet the elite standards we hope will help out the entire industry we all love so much. So if you think you’ve compiled a portfolio we should consider, send us an inquiry for consideration by clicking on the designer invite button on the splash page.
Oh, I forgot the best part, designers. Joining Upstack is joining the fight against spec. Working on Upstack projects, you will be paid upfront for your time and effort. Happy designers and happy clients. Happy happy, joy joy.

[...] Stock logo website Brandstack announces their new service Upstack, supposedly a custom version of their stock service that dodges the spec-work bullet by paying participating designers a portion of the design fee. All cool and all, but that just happens to be how Logoworks, formally the poster-child for all that’s wrong with online logo design, works. And has worked since 2001. When half the world freaked the fuck out, because of the way Logoworks worked. [Brandstack] [...]
