thanks (all), and you're totally right imo, it also makes it less of a cartoon this way.

Because of the anonymous feeling to it. This way the shapes look better. If I'd put eyes in it, people see a face of a silly monkey instead of a composition.

I had a lot of doubts about the bg color, I chose this color because of the natural habitat of the chimp. Will upload some variations in a minute
